Al Rabih School exists to serve the educational needs of a diverse community. In general, admission is open to all students who seek a challenging, university preparatory education and exhibit respectful, responsible behaviour.
The following admission requirements and grade placements are adhered to at RS. Exceptions to these guidelines are made infrequently and only upon careful evaluation of the applicant by the Head of School.
Kindergarten I (KG I) students must be three years of age.
Kindergarten II (KG II) students must be four years of age.
Kindergarten III (KG III) students must be five years of age.
Grade 1 students must be six years of age.
Grade 2 students must be seven years of age and must demonstrate successful completion of the equivalent of grade 1.
Grade 3 students must be eight years of age and must demonstrate successful completion of the equivalent of grade 2.
Grade 4 students must be nine years of age and must demonstrate successful completion of the equivalent of grade 3.
Grade 5 students must be ten years of age and must demonstrate successful completion of the equivalent of grade 4.
Grade 6 students must be eleven years of age and must demonstrate successful completion of the equivalent of grade 5.
Grade 7 students must be twelve years of age and must demonstrate successful completion of the equivalent of grade 6.
Grade 8 students must be thirteen years of age and must demonstrate successful completion of the equivalent of grade 7.
Grades 9 through 12 students are placed in a grade based on evidence of successful completion of the preceding grade or year.
Applicants will need to provide complete documentation of their academic history, psychological/educational evaluations, and details of extra academic or specialist support they have had or are currently receiving. Once the application is complete, the Admissions team will evaluate the application and decide if the school can accommodate the student. False information about the student academic or behavioral records may lead to the withdrawal of the student.
